1) How do the payment installments work?
Payment will be split 50/50 with 50% due after completion of sketch/linework and 50% due at completion of final painting. For example, for a single-character chibi you would pay $27.50 to receive the linework and $27.50 at the time of shipping the finished piece.2)What's with the cost / Why commission you when I can ask AI to make me something?
I work in physical media and will send you the original piece, which you can hold in your hands/frame/etc. I also try to choose lightfast pigments in my paint, which means it will not fade nearly as quickly as a typical art print, although I would still avoid hanging it in direct sunlight. The commission cost takes into account the time it takes me to complete a piece and have it shipped to you.3)How is it shipped?
Rigid cardboard envelope with cardboard backing and waterproof bag for protection. USPS ground advantage shipping; if you want it shipped faster, let me know and I will calculate a new shipping cost. USPS is closed on Sundays.4)What happens if it gets lost or damaged in the mail?
I will scan and save a digital version of the painting and send it to you instead and refund the shipping cost ($5). The quality will be high enough to make prints for personal use (I have some print shops I can recommend if needed).5)Anything you won't draw?
For this first commission run, I will stick to SFW requests only. I will review requests on a case-by-case basis. If I turn down a proposal, it is not a moral judgement on you, it is only because I think my skillset isn't a good match.
I recommend looking at the porfolio for a general idea of my strengths and art style, but am willing to consider most things.6)What do you use to paint with?
Graphite, watercolor, gouache and acrylic.Please note that some professional paints contain heavy metals, so they should be kept away from small children or animals and avoid being ingested. They do not typically pose a threat to human health under normal conditions (hung on a wall, stored in a drawer).7)International shipping?
I will deduct $5 from the commission price initially, but we will have to figure out how much it costs to ship to you. Based on this, you can decide whether you want to pay for shipping or have a digital scan sent intead.8)Payment method?
I use Paypal business invoices. You do not need a Paypal account to make the payment.
